The Queso from all Your Childhood Celebrations

We had a Halloween party one year and Daniel had a lot of friends hanging out in the basement. I specifically remember one of his buddies coming upstairs for a second helping of food and telling me "Your queso is God". :)

Obviously not, but here's the recipe anyway. I like to keep the leftovers and use it on tacos or in quesadillas.

  • 8 oz cream cheese

  • 1 pound white American cheese, cubed

  • 1 TBS butter

  • 4 oz can of Old El Paso chopped green chilis

  • 1 TBS pickled jalapenos, diced (the kind in the jar from the pickle section of the grocery store)

  • 3-4 TBS milk

Combine all ingredients except milk in slow cooker. I use slow cooker liners for a reason- this will be tough to clean up if you don't. Cook on high for 30 minutes and stir. Thin to desired consistency with milk, then set slow cooker to warm.

Your friends will thank you. :)
