Valentine's Day Treats

I'm looking forward to Valentine's Day and our wedding anniversary the day before. It's definitely a fun and romantic time for us, but I also really enjoy making surprises for the kids.

Last time I went all out and decorated pink gift bags from the Dollar Tree. I used my Cricut to create layered name tags on one side and layered hearts on the other. I used up Valentine's themed papers I had been holding for several years, which of course validated my tendency to hoard craft supplies.

The cheesecake stuffed strawberries are one of Ralph's favorite treats and Daniel is a big fan too. Daniel won't be able to come home again until he's finished with school, but I'll make them for my hubby this year.

The snack mix is a fun and easy classic, but didn't get eaten up as quickly as some of the other things. These dressed up wafer cookies were a surprise hit. I just dipped them in white almond bark with a touch of red food coloring added, then sprinkled with pastel sprinkles.

I just started looking for ideas for Valentine's Day for this year- both crafts and foods. I hope you have lots to look forward to in the coming winter months!
